SBA Physical Disaster Loan For June Floods and Tornadoes Deadline Is September 13; Business and Residents in Michigan Should Apply Now.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) encourages businesses of all sizes, private nonprofit organizations, homeowners, and renters to apply for a physical disaster loan before the Sept. 13 deadline. Anyone in the declared counties in Michigan with damages caused by the disaster on June 25-26, 2021 should apply for a physical disaster loan by the deadline. 

The disaster declaration covers Washtenaw and Wayne counties in Michigan, which are eligible for both Physical and Economic Injury Disaster Loans from the SBA. Small businesses and most private nonprofit organizations in the following adjacent counties are eligible to apply only for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans: Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, and Oakland in Michigan.

Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloanassistance.sba.gov/ela/s/and should apply under SBA declaration # 17039 not for the COVID-19 incident.
