GRAND OPENING OF LA JOYA GARDENS BRINGS
WHAT: The Southwest Detroit Business Association (SDBA) and Cinnaire Solutions – in partnership with the City of Detroit, Invest Detroit, MSHDA and other supporting organizations – invite members of the media to the grand opening celebration of La Joya Gardens. This transformative mixed-use, mixed-income development will bring affordable housing, retail opportunities, and community space in Southwest Detroit. The event will include remarks from city leaders, project partners, and community representatives, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Media attendees also will have the opportunity to tour the development and interview key stakeholders.

WHERE: La Joya Gardens located at 4000 W. Vernor Hwy., Detroit.
WHY: La Joya Gardens is a $24 million mixed-use development that transforms a long-vacant city block into a vibrant residential, retail and community space. The project features 53 residential units, 42 of which are affordable, as well as more than 6,000 square feet of retail space. It is a testament to the power of collaboration among public, private, and community stakeholders to address housing needs and promote economic equity in Detroit.
