Michigan Central Station, which reopened on June 6 after being rehabilitated following decades of abandonment, has announced the opening of its first restaurant, as well as the addition of guided tours.

After more than 167,000 people visited the renovated MCE in Detroit this summer following its reopening, the management decided to add a new restaurant and offer guided tours starting in the fall of 2024.

The restaurant within the establishment will be a second location of Yellow Light Coffee & Donuts, so visitors to this landmark will be able to enjoy products from this Detroit-based company.

Additionally, visitors can take guided tours, both group and public, thanks to a partnership between MCE and Detroit History Tours. Ticket prices can be checked at www.detroithistorytours.com/michigan-central-station-tours.

The recent reopening of Michigan Central was a true ‘celebration’ for Detroit in early June, featuring a grand event that included a concert with performances by Eminem, Diana Ross, Jack White, Big Sean, and other artists and groups.”
